How to download a free Ubigi eSIM on iPhone?
To download a Ubigi eSIM, first, make sure that you have downloaded the
app and created your account in step 1.
Then, you’ll be prompted to configure settings in your iPhone.
Select “Smartphone” as device to be connected.
Confirm that you have no QR code to scan
Tap “No” and “No”
Tap on “INSTALL MY FREE eSIM NOW”
Go through the tutorial screen by screen, then tap on “Install now” to start the process and configure the installation of your Ubigi eSIM.
“Install data plan” screen: eSIM installation process is about to start, tap “Continue” to confirm.
“Add Data Plan” screen: tap “Add Data Plan”.
“Data Plan Labels” screen:
Rename the new data plan as “Ubigi” and tap “Continue”.
It will be easier to find your new data plan when needed.
“Default Line” screen: select “Primary” and tap “Continue”.
So you keep your personal line as default for calls and SMS.
Ubigi is a data only service. It does not support traditionnal voice calls or SMS but enables you to use all your favourite VoIP or Message applications.
“iMessage & FaceTime” screen: select “Primary” and tap “Continue”.
So you keep your personal existing account for iMessage, FaceTime and Apple ID.
Your settings remain the same even when you’re using Ubigi for your data connectivity.
