Update your iOS version: On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update and update to iOS 13.3 or later.
Open your camera app and scan the QR code,
A pop-up will appear at the top of the screen, click on it
Tap on “continue” and “add data plan” in the following screens
Rename the new plan as Ubigi to find it more easily
Select your local carrier as default line (for voice)
Select your local carrier for FaceTime & iMessage,
You’ll be able to use your Ubigi data for iMessage, but as your Ubigi line does not have a phone number you can share, it is not necessary to associate it to your Apple ID
Select Ubigi for Mobile Data
Do not allow Mobile Data Switching – you would risk roaming on your local carrier
Now, let’s set the APN. This step is mandatory if you wish to use your device as personal hotspot (tethering)
Go to Settings, then Mobile Data, and select your Ubigi line
Now go to “Mobile Data Network”
Then, just type “mbb” in the all 4 APN fields: Mobile Data, LTE setup, MMS and Personal Hotspot
Finally, make sure that roaming is allowed
Don’t worry, there are no high roaming charges with us!
Once you have finished this set up, your phone should attach quickly to the network. The name of our local partner carrier will be displayed next to the signal bars
To do so, make sure to use Ubigi for Mobile Data, and that you’re not using Wi-Fi.
You can switch back to your primary carrier after the account creation is done.
