Ubigi is my first eSIM
Ubigi is my first eSIM. Started up sm, Smoothly and quickly. working well with Uber calls, Google Search and Google Maps. Haven't tried texting or calling yet. Big relief since Roaming Data I picked up from my home carrier failed big time.

My pick for Japan and Italy
I’ve used Ubigi for both Japan and Italy and it’s worked great. Of course signal will vary depending on proximity to a cell tower, but generally speed was solid (5G or LTE) and signal was strong. It’s like 3 clicks to add the esim on my iPhone and they have the best prices I’ve seen based on my research.

painlessly setup an eSIM without having to go to a store or complicated process
I was able to painlessly setup an eSIM and get activated on the local network quickly from my device without having to visit a store. The local network at my destination was not cutting edge new but the service has been reliable so far and the speeds have been consistent throughout my stay so far.

Easy to set up and good connectivity
Easy to switch onto the e-Sim once in Japan and had good connectivity throughout my 4 week trip. Reasonably priced too. Only issue was receiving the QR code when I first paid for the service. It didn't come through to email automatically but issue was resolved when I managed to contact customer service. Took 24 hours so make sure it's all working before you go.
