I have used Ubigi in a few countries. Using one eSim to connect to different countries made it easy. However the network connection / speed could be a bit disappointing at some places, even urban areas. The biggest drawback of Ubigi is their pricing. I find them to be very expensive in comparison to other providers. The structure also makes it hard to pick a package. It's either too much or too little. I observed my travel companions use cheaper plans just with the same connectivity. Even though the cheaper brands may have some teething problems, they can usually be resolved with a reset or restart. This led me to think Ubigi is not worth the high price tag.

Competing eSIM Services? 18Sep-01Oct2026
Firstly, I came to Ubigi with an iPhone16 under a Verizon plan with automatic TravelPass at $12 per day. When I returned from 14 days in Switzerland, I discovered that Verizon had charged me $108 for 9 days usage of TravelPass; this is virtually every day I used my phone there. So I do not know whether or to what extent my Ubigi eSIM actually kicked in, although I did receive messages declaring that it had done so.
Others around me appeared to have positive success with their Ubigi eSIMs. A subtle problem I noticed was that I needed to register my eSIM as TranSatel several times separately for Voice, Data, Data Roaming, WiFi, and possibly other categories or channels of use. Initially, in the integrated Zürich Airport and Train Station, I needed WiFi to get settled in Switzerland; my iPhone16 seemed to turn to Verizon’s TravelPass by default. I would be gratified to obtain clarification on how to employ eSIMs in the circumstances described above.
All that said, I successfully prevailed upon Verizon to refund my $108.
I gave a (better than) neutral rating for obvious reasons and intend to return to my Ubigi eSIM for future international travel.

Worked flawlessly in Tokyo, But.
Worked flawlessly in Tokyo, until (presumably) I ran out of credit, Did I really rinse out 10GB of Data Googlemapping, translating & converting in 4 days?
I was then unable to top up until back on the WiFi.
