It was more difficult than i would…
It was more difficult than i would expect to get started but then works great most of time. When I use with my Express VPN connection, Ubigi sometimes drops out. It works fine and then suddenly I get no more messages or calls, and find that I must reboot my Iphone to collect lost communications. A bit annoying but works so well most of time....

I got Ubigi for Japan and it worked flawlessly
I got Ubigi for Japan and it worked flawlessly. I got 10GB for a 2-week stay, and it was more than enough to use Google Maps every day, browsing and more. I didn't use it for streaming videos so can't say how much it would've consumed, however I wouldn't expect video streaming to be part of such trips where you can get wifi at the hotel or other places. It worked both in big cities like Tokyo and Osaka as well as more remote places such as Shimabara, Ibara (Bisei Astronomical Observatory), Hida Furukawa and Hida Takayama. Definitely recommend.
