I got most of time internet service. When not available it was because of carrier issues.
Easy way to get connected.

Reliable, simple but not “unlimited”
I used for 4 travellers and no one faced connection issues for 2 weeks in Japan.Sign up and recharge process was simple. Esim setup was easy.
I used unlimited plan. However 3 days from end I received a note to say my service had been slowed under fair usage. The reason was synch of 40 photos and videos to iCloud Photos. I estimate 1-2GB. I did not expect that on an unlimited plan.
