Service worked when I landed in Japan
Service worked when I landed in Japan. Was simple to set up. Was decent speed, as I was able to use my navigation apps and multiple mobile games that I play in Japan. Had a good experience using this. Will probably use again for future trips.

The eSim worked great.
The eSim worked great, I had data only, never used Wifi for the trip. No issues with VOIP apps. I would definitely use this again. The one note I would add for new users is that the automatic setup did not configure the phone properly. It took some back and forth with their reply bot to find what was missing in the setup and correct it. Once corrected there were no further issues.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:

Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!

Laptops (Windows 10/11):

Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!

Check Carrier Unlock

On iOS:

Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!

On Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
