Overall a very good and simple but they need to hire humans for customer support
Overall a very good and simple experience. The app does what it needs to do. 4 starts only because customer support seems to be inexistent: I created a refund request for a plan I purchased incorrectly and got a reply from an automated AI bot which just ignored my refund request.

Easy and a great deal
Ubigi is awesome. Just a few years ago eSIMs were confusing and a pain to install. I've now used Ubigi in Spain and Japan and it couldn't be easier. The instructions are clear and easy. You get plenty of data for just a few bucks. And if you run out, it takes seconds to add more using the app, so no stressing about how much to get or how much you're using.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:

Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!

Laptops (Windows 10/11):

Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!

Check Carrier Unlock

On iOS:

Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!

On Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
