Good eSIM overall
Bought 10GB of data as I was in Japan for 2 weeks and with all the free Wifi, had 2GB left by the time I left Japan. Don’t think I had any coverage issues while in Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima and Kyoto. My only problem is that when I first tried to install the eSIM on my iPhone, the app kept complaining that I couldn’t (though my phone is unlocked). I stressed a bit as I couldn’t reach support to get help but after reinstalling the app using Narita free WiFi, it successfully installed the eSIM. Other than that, very good service.

Connection with cruising
I went on a cruise and I had 150 minutes of Wi-Fi which didn't work most of the time, so when I got into ports I was able to log in with ubge sim and was very grateful. Grateful. I am from Canada and navigating in the US with Wi-Fi is much easier than paying a roaming charge per day as we are living in Canada which is a tax for everything and very expensive so I really appreciate it. Thank you

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:

Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!

Laptops (Windows 10/11):

Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!

Check Carrier Unlock

On iOS:

Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!

On Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
