Well getting the eSIM and activation took less than 5 minutes. Self set-up was simple and I would recommend using Ubigi for phone service. The hotspot or data wasn’t too great but it worked.

Ubigi app was good and offered the prices and plans which ‘seemed’ fair. The instructions on how to use could have been clearer, as I needed to use Google to help me in some steps. What I will say is that whilst they have fair usage, I felt the throttle of the signal was quite severe and made things frustrating and difficult, and I think that coupled with the price made it expensive for what it was.

Such a great tool!
I didn't know a thing like this even existed. Seamless and simple. It was a great help having the use of the internet while traveling in Europe. Maps to find our way. Uber to get around, and WhatsApp to call home and check in.

USA, Texas and Florida: Worked pretty well, better than I expected. I had another american SIM with me (Tello) and the performances were very similar. Except for the latency that for Ubigi was a bit high as the IP was far usually (sometimes London, sometimes NY or Chicago). Download speedtest was swinging betwen 5 to 50 mbits. Overall the price ratio was 4.5 stars to me [14 € , 10 Gb, 7 days]

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:

Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!

Laptops (Windows 10/11):

Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!

Check Carrier Unlock

On iOS:

Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!

On Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
