    Good reception in Hokkaido, Japan…
    We were in Hokkaido and received good reception 90% of the time. Google Map is still slow and not fast and accurate enough but I think part of it is Google Map problem we experienced at home too. Otherwise I’m able to send and receive texts and pictures well. Thank you Ubigi. Would definitely purchase again for Japan trips.

    Immediate, reliable, affordable. It would be amazing if the credit could be reused, at least in part, when changing country. Air France's horrible service sent me to another country unexpectedly for half day, and I had plenty of credit for the country I was in but couldn't let my family know I was OK without wasting 5$ for a few hours.

    How to check eSIM compatibility

    Smartphones / Tablets:

    Dial *#06#.
    → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

    Windows 10 / 11:

    Press Windows+I.
    Go to “Network & Internet”
    → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

    How to check carrier unlocking

    iPhone / iPad:

    Go to Settings > General > About.
    Scroll to Carrier Lock.
    → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

    Android:

    Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
    Disable Automatic network selection.
    → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
