Japan, Brunei, and Singapore
UBIGI was great for our trip, they had a package that had coverage in all the countries we were visiting so we both got separate plans for each of our phones, services connected when we landed and turned airplane mode off in Japan and carried forward to Brunei and Singapore without any issue. Our phones are Galaxy S22+ Ultra and Galaxy S25 Ultra

Superb in every respect
I can’t recommend this highly enough. The plan was easy to buy, the app works great and the experience was frictionless from beginning to end. I bought 10GB for my 10 day trip to Japan and it picked up the carrier instantly upon arrival. Coverage was great throughout my travels and was faster than wifi in many locations. Only used 7GB from the plan and i could switch back to my provider with just 2 taps upon returning to UK. I could not be happier!

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
