    The connection in Thailand was amazing BUT
    The connection in Thailand was amazing, and I had absolutely no issues. However, I purchased the same eSIM for my trip to Japan, and the experience was quite disappointing. I contacted customer support by email, and they provided troubleshooting instructions, but unfortunately, the issue persisted. Every time I wanted to use my phone, I had to turn airplane mode on and off just to get the connection working. This was very inconvenient and frustrating, especially while travelling. I expected a much better experience, considering how well it worked in Thailand.

    I used Ubigi during my trip to two European countries—Romania and Greece—and overall, it was a very positive experience. In Bucharest, Romania, the connection was absolutely excellent, fast, and completely seamless from day one. In Athens, Greece, I did experience a few occasional network dropouts, but overall the service was still very good and kept me connected when I needed it. Setup was easy, and it’s a reliable option for international travel. Recommended!

    How to check eSIM compatibility

    Smartphones / Tablets:

    Dial *#06#.
    → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

    Windows 10 / 11:

    Press Windows+I.
    Go to “Network & Internet”
    → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

    How to check carrier unlocking

    iPhone / iPad:

    Go to Settings > General > About.
    Scroll to Carrier Lock.
    → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

    Android:

    Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
    Disable Automatic network selection.
    → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
