Easy and always reliable - great travel partner
I've used Ubigi several times for international travel and the experience has been great. I've used their eSIMs in Italy, Singapore and now Bali without issues. Customer support is excellent. I've given 4 stars as there is one feature missing that would get them to 5 stars: - Ability to create multiple eSIM profiles so that I can purchase multiple plans in the same country and assign them to individual eSIMs for my family. At the moment, you have to create separate profiles.

Installation process can be tricky
Set up process/installation can be tricky. I was have to update the system on my phone, only then the eSIM started to work. I think Ubigi have to tell the customers about this possibility. I didn't know at first and spent a lot of time trying to connect with customer support to resolve the issue. If I knew in advance, everything would be much more smoother.

The best for high speed connection and reliability in Japan
I was traveling with a friend who decided to use their home plan for internet while I used Ubigi. Almost every time I had A 5G connection my companions only had an LTE Connection. Great coverage and great connection speeds everywhere I went in Japan and I never lost any connection.

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
