A flawless experience
A flawless experience so far. Setting up the account and purchasing the eSIM/data plan was simple. The eSiM installed easily. During my flight when the phone was in flight mode, I turned off data on my physical SIM and activated it on the Ubigi eSIM. Once in Japan I turned off flight mode and 15 seconds later the eSIM connected. So far there have been good connections throughout our time.

This has been by far the easiest eSIM…
This has been by far the easiest eSIM card I have ever used. I loved the fact that I did have to do any set up once I arrived in Japan. Connectivity was instant. Definitely recommend and will definitely use again.

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
