    Worked perfectly in Tokyo
    In Tokyo, everything worked perfectly from the moment I arrived at the airport. I didn't have any problems with the connection or anything else at any point. Uploading and downloading (WhatsApp) went smoothly, and a call (WhatsApp) worked perfectly for about 45 minutes. After that, the connection dropped - I don’t know what caused it, so I wouldn’t automatically assume it was a problem with Ubigi. I just thought I could use one account to buy data plans for different phones, and ended up with two plans for one phone. I also bought way too much data overall. In two weeks, I used less than 7 GB due to Wi-Fi auto connect almost everywhere in the city. I would definitely recommend Ubigi and will certainly use the service again.

    Patchy coverage
    Parts of Vancouver, in Burnaby had poor coverage. Also along parts of icefields parkway in Alberta had no coverage whereas other phones did.

    How to check eSIM compatibility

    Smartphones / Tablets:

    Dial *#06#.
    → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

    Windows 10 / 11:

    Press Windows+I.
    Go to “Network & Internet”
    → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

    How to check carrier unlocking

    iPhone / iPad:

    Go to Settings > General > About.
    Scroll to Carrier Lock.
    → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

    Android:

    Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
    Disable Automatic network selection.
    → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.

    You already have an eSIM in your cart.

    Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
