Ubigi Works Well in Portugal
We got the 30 day 10 GB plan for a 3 week trip to Portugal. We used it heavily for navigation, first with public transportation then for driving, and we also used it when wifi was poor at certain lodgings. We drove from Lisbon to Nazare, Serra de Estrela, Braganca, Monsanto, Évora, Tavira, Aljezur and many places in between. We only lost signal briefly while on a 5 hour hike in Serra de Estrela; otherwise, the e-sim worked perfectly.

First time Ubigi user
I didn’t have a problem connecting to the network once I landed in Barcelona. I use it for navigation & connecting back home. There were some spots that I get only 3G. But overall, it was great and fit its job during my visit to Europe.

Very user friendly the second time
I pre-checked my average usage of data over two weeks which came to about 5GB so I ended up getting 3GB for 7 days first and it lasted me for 6 days then got another 3GB for the remaining 4 days with 300MB left to spare by the time I left the selected country. Regular reminders via email was received to inform what you have remaining but can be easily checked via the app anyways. Very easy to use the second time when it self activates once you switch over to Ubigi eSIM and you're in the selected country's coverage. Also easy to top up when you're close to exhausting your plan to smoothly roll onto the next one.

Ubigi eSIM was so easy to use as they have videos to watch for assistance and I did not have any issues using it for 10 days in Japan. Would definitely suggest anyone to use Ubigi as I was impressed how it worked and it was the first time I used an eSIM.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:

Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!

Laptops (Windows 10/11):

Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!

Check Carrier Unlock

On iOS:

Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!

On Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
