Very handy to have internet as soon as landed. Came last year without and it was bit difficult to get around and communicate without Marocan internet. UK roaming can be expensive. Ubigi e SIM was wonderful choice.

if you switch iphones and lose access…
if you switch iphones and lose access to your old iphone, there is no way to get your ubigi account switched to your new iphone without tech support. This is not clear until you try to use ubigi and it doesn't work. You tell the chatbot this issue and it takes about 24 hours (or more), for this to be addressed by a tech. But they don't email you once it is, they instead update the chat through the Ubigi website, a chat you're probably not logged into because you are abroad without internet! Needless to say it took me awhile to realize the issue was resolved and get the product, but once I got it, the product was great as it has been for the about 3 years I've used it.

Bought for my Thailand trip
Bought for my Thailand trip. Definitely worked for me in Patong, and surrounding islands. Such a life saver having unlimited data; access to the internet has made it very easy to get around. I’m able to use grab, what’s app, and log onto my airline app.

It worked!

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
