Easy to follow installation process and worked immediately upon arrival to Tokyo. Very affordable and reliable connection in both Tokyo and Kyoto. I purchased the 5GB on out 5 days trip and it was more than what we needed.

The app explained things reasonably well

The app explained things very well. The process of installing an eSIM is not simple but Ubigi did make it easier than I expected. I got a data package for a short stay in USA and used it with WhatsApp to call friends. However, data is no good for making regular calls to businesses, so I couldn’t call hotels and restaurants. Next time I will need to find a way to making those calls. Does Ubigi have that option? Overall Ubigi data plan worked perfectly for WhatsApp etc.
