Easy to buy and set up. Good price.
On the other hand, coverage was patchy in some areas and when I added another 30 days I lost all unused data. This is much more like buying a new plan than buying more data.

Highly recommended eSIM
I experienced no issues with using Ubigi eSIM. Connected when I arrived in Japan and never experienced a delay or any issues. I'm a second time user and wouldn't hesitate to use Ubigi again if the need arises.

Good...but..
Easy to set up, use and renew or top up. Coverage was sometimes patchy but that could be due to the local telecommunications companies.
The unlimited plans for data are still capped and then you still get data at reduced speeds. I took off another star because of this, when in this day and age, unlimited data should be as described.

First time to use Ubigi eSIM
This was my first time to buy and use Ubigi eSIM for my stay in Japan. It’s been so convenient and I feel safe since I don’t have to worry about the availability of WiFi. I can use it wherever I am even in a rural area of Japan. I can use it in trains, buses etc. I’m 65+ and didn’t have much knowledge about SIM card, but with instructions I was able to set up eSIM before I left for Japan. After I arrived in Japan I just turned on Ubigi eSIM. That was it!!
