Was a bit daunting with all the different eSims available for purchase for our Japan holiday but glad we went with Ubigi eSim as they connect to NTT Docomo who according to reviews, have the widest and steadiest coverage in 4G/5G. The Ubigi website was simple to follow and you can compare the different priced packages (in USD) according to your needs. The instructions on how to purchase and install onto your mobile phone were easy and there were tutorial videos available if you were stuck. Once we landed in Japan we selected the eSim in our phone options and it connected instantly. Top ups can be purchased through their Ubigi mobile app. Price is competitive and Ubigi have eSims for many countries.

Esim Convenience
Easier to use than a portable wifi. It was difficult to get a connection in the first several days of usage. It wasn’t connecting well to get text messages.

Worked great in Japan
We used our e-sim in Japan for ten days and it was very easy to setup. Great for those times we were out and about away from WiFi connections.

Choose Ubigi for your international data needs!
Ubigi made having cellular internet data easy while my husband and I were in Japan! As soon as we activated it, we were good to go! And providing different data packages for a variety of time frames was convenient as well! I thought I would use 10GB in a week, but I was very wrong considering how much of Google Maps I was using to navigate Japan. But! Better to have way more data than not enough especially for $14!

스마트폰 및 셀룰러 태블릿:
(*#06#)을 누르세요. EID 번호가 표시되면, 기기는 eSIM을 지원합니다.
노트북 (Windows 10/11):
오른쪽 하단의 빠른 설정 을 여세요. 셀룰러 설정 이 보이면, 노트북이 eSIM을 지원하는 것입니다.
통신사 잠금 해제 여부 확인
iOS에서:
설정 > 일반 > 정보 > 통신사 잠금(Carrier Lock)으로 이동하세요. "SIM 제한 없음" 이라고 표시되면, 기기가 잠금 해제된 상태입니다.
Android에서:
설정 > 네트워크 및 인터넷 > 모바일 네트워크로 이동하세요. 자동 네트워크 선택을 끄세요. 여러 개의 네트워크가 보이면, 기기는 잠금 해제된 것입니다. 하나만 보이거나 오류가 발생하면, 잠겨 있을 수 있습니다.
