The service was great most of the time

The service was great most of the time and I had no issues using Google or watching videos. The service did go out one day on my 11 day trip and during that day the service was on and off. It seems like it map have been a one off issue and Ubigi did send out an email offering a discount on the next time I use the service. I would use again.

As soon as landing at Narita airport on May 27, 2026 my cellular 5 bars are strongly risen up. So far working well around Tokyo. A brief disconnection was experienced on the way back from mt. Fuji but ubigi was aware and apologized for disruption.

Very good option for Kumano Kodo

Even though there were a few bad reviews on this esim I found it super reliable for Japan's countryside. I did the whole Kumano Kodo in Wakayama using this esim and even in areas with poor reception it proved to be very useful and contstant!

Very easy to use and worked perfectly

I’m really happy with my experience! The eSIM worked very well and was easy to set up. The instructions were clear and simple, and everything worked from the first moment. I really appreciated being able to track my data usage in the app and see how much data I had left. It was also very easy to top up when needed. I would definitely use this service again!

Overall good but there was a 10-14 hour period where the service was down. Thankfully I could find wifi to supplement, but it would have been bad if I wasn’t able to.

A good ESIM

I had to change eSim providers whilst in Japan as the one I was using was very troublesome. Many Ubigi reviews were positive, so I downloaded it. Found it easy to set up and it worked very well. There was one small outage, but Ubigi have corrected it and offered compensation, great integrity.
