Discover how to install your Ubigi eSIM on your laptop in few steps!

Start by checking if your device is eSIM compatible

Open your flyout (bottom-right corner), if Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM

Install a Ubigi eSIM on your laptop via the Mobile Plans app

Step 1 - eSIM tutorial

Get your eSIM profile

Open the network flyout, click on Connect with eSIM to display the Mobile plan app and select Ubigi

Step 2 - eSIM tutorial

Install your eSIM

Fill in the form to get started. The process will take few minutes. Once it's complete, your eSIM will be ready

Purchase a data plan

Visit Ubigi.me to sign up and purchase your first data plan​

Step 4 - eSIM tutorial

Here are some laptop setups you need to remember to do

Setup Logo 1

Prior to departure

Install your eSIM and make sure to disconnect from Cellular Data.

Upon arrival

Switch on your Cellular Data to enable your eSIM to connect at destination.

Back home

Switch off your Cellular Data and restore usual settings.

Great data connectivity
I used the Ubigi esim in my recent 31 day visit to Japan and found it provide excellent data connectivity anywhere that I went. That included long hiking periods in the Japanese Alps and various countryside trips around Tokyo; Matsumoto, Takayama; Kanazawa and Osaka. And it was so easy to top up on my last day. Very happy with Ubigi.

Get the unlimited plan! Worth it.
I loved it but I ran out of 5GB on the first two days and Im not sure how. Definitely wasn’t using that much. But once I switched to the unlimited plan, I had zero problems. Honestly, the best app of the trip.

Small issue at the beginning
Small issue at the beginning since the app told me "it's OK your iPhone 17 can have eSIM", and when I crossed the border, the app went "Your phone cannot install eSIM". Customer service were not helpful. After 10 minutes, the app changed and I could install the eSIM. After that, no issue at all, everything went perfectly well using data in Switzerland.

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.

You already have an eSIM in your cart.

Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.

If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
