Ubigi eSim is Amazing and Affordable.
The Ubigi eSim was great as it activated and got connected immediately upon arrival in Malaysia. The eSim was largely able to connect to all network bands both 4g & 5g. However , there were 2 occasions that I lost total connection to any network and it was quite troubling, as I relied on the phone's network in paying for things bought in shops, booking Grab taxi (car hailing rides) and for train and rail tickets. On the whole, it was a useful eSim to have for Malaysia and it also known to be available for most of Asia - The best part for me was the price of the eSim which was quite competitively priced in bundles. Setting up of the eSim was very easy and straightforward. The app is able to tell you if your phone is compatible with the eSim before you get deeper into the set-up process which is a good thing. On the whole I would gladly recommend UBIGI eSim to all travellers, as it is a sure way of saving yourself a good amount of money.

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.

You already have an eSIM in your cart.
