The ESIM installation is very easy and i have a great signal in Tokyo and Osaka.
The other Sim vendor i checked, was not able to provide a signal in Shinjuku. This was the reason why i switched and iam happy with my decision

Once I got eSIM to work it was great
Once I got eSIM to work which took about an hour of online searches and changing settings it was great. Wish it was as simple as lead to believe. Think it is just an eSIM thing rather than Ubigi thing

I got Ubigi for my trip to Japan. I feel like the price was absolutely fair and it worked perfectly. There were no prblems at all. Very user friendly as well, I had no trouble installing the eSim.

Ubigi was easy to set up and reasonably priced. One hint, when you finish with it, de-activate it, not delete it. If you just delete it it stuffs up your primary phone data etc.
I would definitely use it again next I travel overseas

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
