Self Assistance - eSIM installation for Windows 10

First, check on this list if your device is compatible with Ubigi services.

If your device is compatible with Ubigi services, it must be equipped with an eSIM or a physical SIM card:

– Your device is equipped with an eSIM: go to the next step.

– Your device is equipped with a physical SIM card: follow instructions here.

Your device is equipped with an eSIM:

Check now if an eSIM profile is installed on your device. Go to: Start > Settings > Networks & Internet > Cellular.

In the menu “Use this SIM for cellular data”:

– If a Ubigi eSIM profile is installed, it will appear in the list. Select it (when the right one is selected, the name Ubigi will be displayed right under it).

– If no Ubigi eSIM profile is installed, please follow instructions here to install a Ubigi eSIM profile.

Once the Ubigi eSIM profile is installed, go to the next step.

NB: some devices have a pre-installed Ubigi eSIM profile and they are mentioned with a on this page.

I’ve used Ubigi in Northern Italy/South Tyrol. The eSIM installation was straightforward – no problems. Data access was fast and unrestricted; it worked perfectly even in the side valleys and on the mountain pastures. I think it offers good value for money. A positive experience!

Switching to the eSIM not that straightforward

The statement that switching to the Ubigi eSIM is done automatically when the according country is entered, didn't prove. It requires some fondling with the phone settings and at least half an hour of waiting until the switch succeeds. Maybe Ubigi cannot do anything against it but instead of the promise, a detailed description what to do when entering that country would be more helpful.
