Overall Ubigi was a good esim
Our family of 9 all used Ubigi in Japan. Most found it excellent to use, however some had difficulty with some aspects of it.

Great coverage - tonnes of data
I experienced excellent coverage - better than my wife's service, which was a roaming set-up from a company back home. I'd often have access when she didn't.
I didn't have a single problem during my month in Japan, so can't talk about customer service; but maybe that's comment enough - I didn't need to contact customer service!
I also had more than enough data, often hot-spotting for my wife, who spent more, but got sooo much less.

It was very difficult to get the connection on arrival in Japan. However once connected no problems.
I had to connect to my international roaming for an extra cost I was trying to avoid to get Ubigi to get connected.

For Japan, there's no one better than Ubigi.
For 9 days I used Ubigi in Japan. From Tokyo to Osaka. There was not a single area that was not covered. Used navigation all the time, it was accurate. I didn't have to check for free wifi at any place.
For Japan Ubigi is the one. Don't think twice.

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
