Should you buy your Ubigi eSIM data plan before traveling, or when you arrive?
Either is possible! You can purchase your Ubigi data plan right before you leave or when you arrive at your destination, whichever is most convenient for you.
Thanks to the SmartStart feature, the validity period of your data plan starts automatically upon arrival in a covered area, ensuring you do not lose any days before your travel.
Getting started with SmartStart is easy! 🚀
Upon arrival, simply switch on your Ubigi line in your mobile settings—your data plan will activate automatically, and its validity will begin.
If you have not purchased a plan before leaving, you can buy your data plan when you arrive at your destination and it will activate immediately.
Good to know: Even after you have used up all your data allowance or you have no Wi-Fi, you can still recharge from the UBIGI app anywhere in the world and check data usage.
Note: We recommend installing your Ubigi eSIM on your device before you travel. Internet connectivity is required to download the eSIM profile on your device. (For Android users, you can only install new eSIM profiles while connected to Wi-Fi).
