Many of the latest Apple devices are eSIM compatible devices. An eSIM (embedded subscriber identity module) is a small electronic chip embedded in your phone or device that performs the same function as physical SIM cards. The eSIM is the equivalent of a virtual SIM card.
Rather than using a “tool” to remove/insert a physical SIM card and risk losing or damaging it, an eSIM-enabled device can be programmed and reprogrammed automatically by downloading the eSIM profile from an operator via an app or a QR code.
An eSIM a is multi-carrier, it can hold up to five virtual SIM cards at a time and you just need to switch between plans in your mobile device settings.
Apple models equipped with an eSIM allow you therefore to activate an additional cellular data plan, which you can use locally or internationally, without the need to look for a physical SIM card.
Ubigi allows you to get and install a free eSIM profile on your Apple device. Using an operator like Ubigi, which connects to the local mobile network abroad in over 200 destinations, can be much more economical than paying your usual operator’s roaming charges when you use your Internet connection abroad for leisure or work.
