How to activate an eSIM for an Android mobile device?
To activate your eSIM, you need a wireless carrier which provides you an eSIM profile as well as an eSIM data plan.
To download your eSIM profile on your Android device, you may receive an “activation code” from an eSIM carrier. The activation code is in fact a download link. It is often in the format of a QR code that you will scan with the camera of your phone or tablet to install and activate your eSIM profile on your device. It takes just a couple of minutes to complete the whole process and get connected.
Other ways of getting an eSIM profile include downloading the app of your carrier and follow on-screen instructions or going directly through your Android device connectivity settings.

Excellent 5G unlimited plan, which we used while traveling in Italy! It had been very reliable, way better than others I used over the years. My family had four devices total and we had no issues sharing the plan via hotspot. This made our entire trip so much manageable on the road!

New plan override existing plan
Had travelled to Ivory Coast and able to connect eSIM without problem. When topup my eSIM, it caused my existing eSIM to lose connection. Had a panic as I needed it to connect to my company and my client.
Once I could get wifi, immediately drop email to Ubigi support. The response was prompt and looked into my problem immediately. Resolved the issues after some to/fro correspondence. Was impressed by how fast it noted my issue and offered several solutions. Will definitely continue using it as it give me assurance that support is there no matter where i am.
One feedback is that the new plan should not override my existing plan as the latter was still in effect. It should be a smooth transition to new plan once my existing plan ends

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
