How do I turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot (data sharing) on iOS devices?
To turn on Wi-Fi hotspot on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular), go to Settings > Personal Hotspot and toggle it ON (if you don’t see Personal Hotspot in Settings, tap Cellular > Personal Hotspot). Make note of the Wi-Fi password.

Satisfactory service over 30 days but unable to apply instructions as technical terms were not displayed on Android Samsung phone
Overall we were very satisfied with the service provided. It functioned exactly as advertised in Spain, Portugal, England and Belgium except for one day in Spain. I requested assistance from the Help Desk twice and received a reply with instructions from Salma. The agent was very helpful.
The eSIM service did not work for one day in Spain and I was advised that it had been deactivated on March 31, 2026. I purchased the service on March 31st and did not use it until April 14th. It functioned properly on the 14th and then did not function on April 15th in Cadiz, Spain. I did not deactivate the service so I do not understand how it became deactivated.
I am not tech savvy and do not know or understand technical abbreviations or terms. I tried to follow the instructions provided but did not find any fields on my Android phone Mobile Data /Data Plans that matched the terms in the instructions such as
– type the 3 letters mbb in the all 4 APN fields: Mobile Data, LTE setup, MMS and Personal Hotspot
I turned on roaming and let my phone search for the service provider. I did have service during our trip except for the one day mentioned so I can only assume that Salma or I corrected whatever error occurred.
I mention the incident above as it was frustrating as a non initiated senior trying to comply with and understand the instructions.

Great coverage
We had no issues using Ubigi in Japan from Tokyo to Sendai - great coverage! About the only place it would be a little slow was on the trains. But we still had great service even when we were out at Yamadera!

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
