Trip to Canada
Bought the esim as it appeared to be good value for an upcoming trip to Canada. I was a bit apprehensive never having had an esim before but checked my phone was compatible before buying.
Email with instructions arrived almost immediately after purchase and downloading the esim to my phone was really quick and easy.
Swapped the active SIM in my phone to the Ubigi esim at the airport when boarding my flight and bingo! Everything worked perfectly when I switched off airplane mode on landing in Canada. Internet, WhatsApp, Google maps etc work fine. Very convenient! Excellent experience at a fraction of the price of upgrading my EE SIM to work in Canada whilst on holiday.

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
