The connection was not immediate
The connection was not immediate. My friend with another brand was able to connect first at the airport. Mine maybe another 10-15min later after I tried to configure the access point name (trying to troubleshoot by googling). In the end Im also not sure if that helped. But once it is connected, everything went well, no hiccup, no complaint.

I organised an Ubigi esim prior to leaving Australia. It appears to be working well in Japan. However my friend who only installed her esim in Japan has had nothing but issues. It would be nice if we could phone a person to get it sorted. She has an iphone, whereas mine is Android. I'm a first time user and somewhat technically challenged.

This was my first e-sim experience as Ubigi was a good value choice for Morocco. Everything was straightforward except there is a restart step I wasn't aware of which meant the e-sim couldn't be selected when I first landed in Morocco. Took me an hour to figure out but once sorted the service worked perfectly.

I normally do not leave reviews on Trustpilot because I don’t trust them. Maybe they will not delete this since it is positive review. : I have used an eSIM one time and it was awful. I tried this eSIM because (1) Verizon international service had gone to $13 a day. (2) This eSIM had positive reviews on real review sites. The have an easy system that automatically starts when you arrive at your destination. Set up is so easy and they have good instructions with pictures on how to set up your phone. Basically if you can put your phone in airplane mode you can set it up with this company. Regarding service it was excellent when used in Greece and Turkey. Regarding future trips; I will only use this provider.

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
