Estimating the data plan allowance that you may need while traveling or being on-the-go is actually a tricky question because it highly depends on each individual Internet usage.
The best approach we have found so far is categorizing typical internet use and estimating from there what different activities you can do with 1GB allowance as a reference.
What great stuff can you do with 1GB of data allowance in a day while being on-the-go?*
* Upload 150 photos or videos on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat TikTok * Send 500 instant messages with WhatsApp, Messenger, Skype * Stream 2 hours of music from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music * Stream videos on YouTube for 1/2hours * Play your favorite online games for 1 hour
What can you do with 1GB of data allowance in a day while traveling for work?*
* Send 500 e-mails * Surf the Web for 10 hours * Make VoIP calls during 5 hours with WhatsApp, Skype, Messenger, Google Hangouts, etc. * Use your favorite GPS navigation apps for 2 hours (Waze, Google Maps, HERE WeGo, etc.) * Stream music for 1 hour from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer, etc.
*Examples based on the average data usage observed for a standard consumption of Internet and similar applications in a day

Went to Japan recently and wanted to avoid high cellphone bill
Went to Japan recently and wanted to not have a huge cellphone bill. Found out about Ubigi eSim and thought that it sounded great and was easy to use. I got it and boy it definitely lived up to my expectations. It was so easy to set up and so easy to use while in Japan. I didn't have to think about anything it was that easy. I highly recommend it for anyone traveling.

Trustworthy and easy to use!
I booked internet for my trip to Switzerland. I honestly didn’t think the whole process would be this easy. In just a few steps, I had internet for a week, that I could easily activate once I was in the country. All the steps are described online and I had no issues along the way. Also, the internet connection was very good wherever I went.
I would definitely recommend Ubigi and I will buy my internet here again in the future.

Great Speed but...
The setup was very easy. I turned on the ESIM while waiting to board at the airport and as soon as i arrived in Japan, the service started. The internet speed was fast. There was someplace where the internet was slow, like under the subway or those kinds of places. Overall, great and will use Ubigi again on our next visit.

Does what it says on the box
Travelled to Japan, and other than it ceasing up a few times, it worked pretty well. It does what it says on the box, and is pretty user friendly. But be aware that it can occasionally cut out.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:
Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!
Laptops (Windows 10/11):
Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!
Check Carrier Unlock
On iOS:
Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!
On Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
Current plan: •
If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
