How to enable tethering (data sharing) and turn your Samsung smartphone to a personal Wi-Fi hotspot?

To enable tethering on your Samsung:

Navigate to Connections > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering > Mobile Hotspot and toggle it on. A pop-up window will appear, where you can find the Wi-Fi password for devices that want to connect.

Ubigi eSIM in Japan
Worked really great. As soon as we landed, I immediately turned it on and got connected. The speeds were decent, consumption was accurate and fair, and overall service was good too. Only a few weak spots but overall was able to stay connected for the entirety of the trip.

Ubigi was easy all round
Ubigi was easy to set up. I did it at the airport. It worked without fail in Bali. 10gb lasted the whole holiday. I will use Ubigi when I next travel. Way better and cheaper than getting a local SIM card.

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.

You already have an eSIM in your cart.

Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
