The Huawei Mate Pro 40 Single SIM supports eSIM. For the Huawei Mate Pro Dual SIM, it depends on its version, so check your phone specifications to make sure you can benefit from this new feature!
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro comes in:
– Single SIM model: it contains one Nano SIM + one eSIM – Dual SIM model: it contains one Nano SIM + one Nano SIM or one Nano SIM + one eSIM.
There will be two options displayed on the screen: SIM 1 and SIM 2. When eSIM is available it is installed in the SIM 2 slot by default.
To activate your eSIM, you need a wireless carrier which provides you an eSIM profile as well as an eSIM data plan. So eSIM data plans availability may vary depending on your country and carrier.
Ubigi is one of the carriers that support eSIM for the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, in about 190 destinations, across the 5 continents.
Did you know? You can store multiple cellular profiles with an eSIM! You can easily toggle to select which carrier you would like to use according to your needs: travel, home office, remote working… and make savings!

I used Ubigi for my 13 day stay in Kyoto and Tokyo. I had 5g coverage in most areas but there was a 2-3 second delay before downloads happened. Very useful for directions and downloading web pages. I thought 10gb would be more than enough for 13 days with heavy usage. I didn’t even get to 3gb.

Japan coverage
Great coverage and efficient plan. I chose the 10GB and it was just enough for my 9-days-stay in Japan.

Great value for the money! I used the 25GB plan during my 15-day trip to Japan, and it worked perfectly everywhere, even in the countryside.

Great product
We used Ubigi for a trip to Europe. Having the eSIM allowed us to keep in contact with each other and home while we were away. Lots of data for a reasonable price.

🙏🏻💗✨🙌🏻
On the advice of a friend from Amsterdam, I used an app and a card. Unfortunately, I couldn't pay with Russian cards, and my friend helped me again. The connection in Istanbul and the Princes' Islands was always fast and perfect. Thank you!!!!

A great eSIM product
A great eSIM product. It connected automatically when I arrived at my destination and everything worked as expected. Connection speed was also great. Lastly the price was very reasonable with lots of data. Highly recommend this eSIM and I will definitely use it on future trips.

Does exactly what is says on the tin!
Just had two weeks in Japan, and prior to departure this eSim was suggested by Deepseek and it seemed reasonable value so I signed up for a months worth of data.
It worked perfectly on my iPhone 13, and we had great 5G coverage across our extensive travels (even on the bullet trains).
As importantly, their app was really straightforward and clearly showed our usage - which turned out to be a lot less than we had expected.
We will return to Japan again, and I shall be using Ubigi again.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:
Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!
Laptops (Windows 10/11):
Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!
Check Carrier Unlock
On iOS:
Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!
On Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
Current plan: •
If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
