If you travel a lot and need a service…
If you travel a lot and need a service to work seemlessly getting an eSIM seems to be the best way to do it. I often travel and obviously don't want to pay roaming charges so this works well for me. Ubigi as a company also works correctly it turned on when they said it would and the data worked consistently until the expiry date. Ok it's a bit expensive but I've had experiences in the past with other mobile operators where I've bought their Sim card and then had to spend hours dealing with their customer support because nothing works. There are a couple of things about the UI which could be improved but all in all very happy.

I was able to start using Ubigi right…
I was able to start using Ubigi right away, which was very convenient. The connection speed was also fast, and it worked smoothly throughout my trip. The only issue was that I could not access Yahoo! JAPAN, apparently due to European regulations. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the service.

The network is awesome
The network is awesome. It works almost anywhere. The underground station and walkway can be tricky though will still work.
If the price is just couple of dollars less than original, it can beat other carriers easily.

It was available the minute I arrived at Vancouver Airport. We then travelled to Edmonton, and it worked extremely well, except in some deep forest areas at Elk Island Park, which I totally understand.

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
