To purchase a Ubigi data plan on your iPad, follow these simple steps:
1. Open the iPad’s settings: Navigate to the Cellular Data section where you will find the option to set up mobile data, click on Find a new plan and select Ubigi.
2. Access the purchase: In iOS 17.4 and above, a native pop-up window on the iPad will allow you to access the purchase website directly. (This works even if your iPad is not connected to Wi-Fi).
3. Select your plan: Choose the desired Ubigi data plan from the available options within the interface.
4. QR code activation: Once your plan is selected and purchased, a QR code will be displayed at the end of the process. Simply long-press on it to add your eSIM instantly—no camera scan necessary.
For iOS 17.4 and later, you can also receive a new QR code via email if the iPad is connected to Wi-Fi.

A really simple and effective E-sim
I've been to Japan for 10 days and I haven't had any problem with it. Although you can't choose the number of days when selecting the E-sim, you can choose how many Go you want and for how long (a week - 30 days). With the app, you can track how many Go you have left and how much you've already used. Before buying it, just make sure that your phone is compatible with an E-sim (a quick google search is enough, but you can still check the list of phones that are compatible in their FAQ). You just have to activate it when landing and voilà, it's ready to use! Would definitely use again.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:
Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!
Laptops (Windows 10/11):
Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!
Check Carrier Unlock
On iOS:
Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!
On Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
