Should you buy your Ubigi eSIM data plan before traveling, or when you arrive?
Either is possible. Buy it right before you leave, or when you arrive at your destination. Whichever is most convenient for you. Ubigi ’s data plans have different validities, and the validity period starts upon purchase. So, unless you’re traveling for over a month, you can buy it before you leave, and the validity will still cover your stay abroad.
If you haven’t purchased a plan before leaving, you can also buy your data plan when you arrive at your destination. Even if you do not have an ongoing plan, you can always use the Ubigi app to buy a plan and check your balance. Accessing your Ubigi account or the Ubigi website is always free when using your Ubigi eSIM’s connectivity.
Note – We do recommend that you install your Ubigi eSIM on your device before you travel. To download the profile on your device, internet connectivity is required. (For Android devices users, you can only install new eSIM profiles while connected in Wi-Fi).
