Carrier vs Ubigi esim
My husband tested out our carrier's international plan for our Japan trip, and I tested Ubigi's esim unlimited 15 day data plan. There was a clear difference in speed and connection. I always seemed to have connection to the internet and it was fast. I couldn't text or call from my phone but I utilized Instagram and Facebook for that (messaging and calls). Through our carrier, my husband was able to text and call like normal, but his Internet connection was slow and most times he had to connect to the free wifi (if any) to utilize the Internet.

The Ubigi eSIM worked great for our trip to Japan. It started working as soon as we were in the airport and continued flawlessly during our entire trip. I would definitely use the Ubigi eSIM again for international travel.

Fantastic first experience
This is my very first experience with an eSIM, and I'm completely satisfied with this technology... Very simple to set up, very smooth internet, easy to top up, and reusable in many countries... Personally, it was in Senegal. I had a few minor difficulties activating my eSIM at first, but I received excellent support from Ubigi's customer service.

How to check eSIM compatibility

Smartphones / Tablets:

Dial *#06#.
→ If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.

Windows 10 / 11:

Press Windows+I.
Go to “Network & Internet”
→ If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.

How to check carrier unlocking

iPhone / iPad:

Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll to Carrier Lock.
→ If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.

Android:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Disable Automatic network selection.
→ If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.

You already have an eSIM in your cart.
