The APN (Access Point Name) used for Ubigi on an Android device is mbb.
To manually set-up the APN on your Android device, please follow the steps below :
– Go to Settings – Under Mobile network, scroll to the bottom and select Access Point Names – In the APN field, just type the 3 letters mbb – Then click on SAVE to register the changes

Great service, only when on the monrail from Airport to Tokyo City I lost complete serfcice. Not helpful if you want to navigate your stops.
Rest of the time in Japan I had no connection issues.

We used Ubigi for an couple of trips now and always the experience is great: prepare all from home, arrive to the destination, have a data plan. (Remember to deactivate data roaming for your regular SIM).

It's an excellent product
It's an excellent product. Easy to buy and easy to use. I bought the Best Aaia plan and it started to work immediately. Tested it from Home in India, it worked , used it in Thailand, it worked seamlessly immediately on landing at Don Mueng. Used in in Japan. It started to work immediately on landing at Narita.

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
