How to switch on or switch off an eSIM profile on Android devices
1. On your Android device, go to > Settings > Connections > SIM card manager 2. You can switch on or switch off the eSIM profile on this page 3. Under the section Preferred SIM Card, you can select which SIM card will be used for calls, text messages and mobile data.
For example, Mobile data usage can be assigned to the eSIM: – tap Mobile data – select the eSIM profile – tap Change to confirm
Important: APN settings need to be configured if you assign your Mobile data to use the eSIM
For APN settings: 4. Go back to Connections 5. Tap Mobile networks 6. Go to Access Point Names 7. Select the eSIM profile at the bottom right of the screen. 8. Then Add a new APN. 9. Enter the APN settings of your network operator.
APN Settings for Ubigi customers: Name : ubigi APN: mobiledata
10. Save and make sure that your new APN is selected in the Access Point Names page.
Your eSIM is activated and ready to use.

Good experience! A few feedback...
I put 4 stars because my experience is good ! That's what it has always meant !
However it is not perfect, as I had to go into the deep settings of the SIM to get it to work in Japan the first time I went. For this, I had to find WiFi and look up the website for ways to solve the issue. I feel like this kind of help setting the card should be accessible directly on the app, including offline. Since then however, no problem. I would also like it if Ubigi was a bit better at warning you when you're almost at the end of your data and not just at the very, very end.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:
Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!
Laptops (Windows 10/11):
Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!
Check Carrier Unlock
On iOS:
Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!
On Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
