I bought a Ubigi eSIM profile, but my phone is SIM-locked and I can’t install the eSIM profile. What should I do?

If your device is locked by the carrier you purchased it from, you won’t be able to install a Ubigi eSIM profile until the device is unlocked. To unlock it, contact your carrier and request an IMEI unlock (you will need to provide your device’s IMEI, which can be found in your phone’s settings).

Once your device is unlocked, you will be able to scan the QR code you received by email to install your Ubigi eSIM profile.

Note: Some devices have eSIM functionality but may not support it in certain markets or countries, even if the device is unlocked. In this case, we recommend contacting the device manufacturer for more information.

Convenient way to get up and running with data
I travel a lot. I used to buy a local SIM card wherever I went to. That is still the cheapest way to get data if you are going to be somewhere for a while. eSIMs are a very convenient alternative and you do not have to visit a retailer with your passport. I have accounts now with Airalo and Ubigi, Ubigi being the most recent. Both work well and have different products that work well in different places. Ubigi is good because it is just a single eSIM that you add packages to. So far it has worked pretty well for me. I did have an issue where one country took an hour or two to start working. That could have been down to the local network in South Sudan. I expect to keep using the service. It is pretty simple and easy. It works with my Sony Xperia 10V phone.

just works.
just works.. read carefully and it works.. if you are in Europe look at this instead of roaming from your provider they are 2€ a month for a year.. 2Gigs per month.. you most likely don't even use a gig..
