How can I disable my Ubigi eSIM profile on my Android device when I travel or when I do not use it?
If you need to deactivate your Ubigi eSIM profile temporarily on your Android device when you travel or when you do not use it:
1 – On your device, go to Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager :
2 – For the Ubigi eSIM profile (NB: if you haven’t renamed it yet, the name “secondary” will appear), press the button in front of it to disable it (the button will then appear as grayed out)
Your Ubigi eSIM profile is now deactivated.
You simply reactivate/deactivate the eSIM profile of your device at anytime. You can also find those instructions on the video below.
We recommend you to never delete your Ubigi eSIM profile when you travel or when you do not use it as you can simply deactivate it as described above, until you need it again.

Mostly great experience overall
Used Ubigi multiple times now across multiple trips in Japan. It's super easy to use and has good connection for the most part. I had no troubles adding the e-sim and activating it on my phone. It's my go-to service for now.
I docked 1 star because when I used it in August during a fireworks show, neither my wife nor I could get signal. This made it really difficult to regroup with our friends on site. Our Japanese friends were online just fine, so maybe Ubigi clients got de-prioritized by their carrier partner in Japan.

Highly recommend the fixed-data plan for Japan
I bought the fixed-data plan for Japan and it worked smoothly from activation to daily use. Apart from one or two brief moments where the connection dropped, everything was reliable. Having 5G available on top of an already competitive price was great value. The app made it easy to manage the plan as well. I’d definitely use Ubigi again on my next trip.

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
