I do not get the “eSIM – Mobile Data in my device” button on my iPad to install my Ubigi profile. Why and what should I do?
If you do not get the “eSIM – Mobile Data in my device” button when you open the Ubigi application, this means either: – that your iPad is not eSIM compatible (check the iOS compatible devices list), – or that you already installed a Ubigi eSIM on your iPad in the past, – or that you interrupted the auto installation during your last attempt.
If you tried again the installation but still do not see the “eSIM – Mobile Data in my device” button on the Ubigi application, we invite you to ask for a new eSIM profile with a QR code on the link below: https://cellulardata.ubigi.com/ios/ipad/get-esim-profile/
You will then receive an email with instructions step by step to install a new eSIM profile on your device without using the Ubigi application.
If you already own a Ubigi account and want to keep it or have a valid data plan on it, please contact the Ubigi Customer Service and provide your device’s EID* number along with your request.
*You can find your EID number in the following location on your iPad: 1) Settings 2) General 3) Information

Seamless internet service…
I have had seamless internet service across Spain, Amsterdam and London. Setup was easy but required assistance from customer service. Customer service responded within minutes by email. So better to activate the service where Wifi is available.

Ubigi works great in Japan
At first, I was not able to add the plan on to my Samsung Galaxy flip 5 phone which concerned me. I emailed Ubigi and they answered quickly. I then was able to add the plan I purchased. My phone has been working perfectly since then with the 25gb plan and able to find restaurants, train, shopping, directions with maps, etc. This is the way to go when in Japan!

I used Ubigi in my trip to Japan…
I used Ubigi in my trip to Japan (Tokyo+Kyoto). At first internet worked really well but at the end of the trip it started to get slow and for a short period of time it didn’t work at all. There was a taifun in Japan at the time we visited and although it didn’t effect us directly otherwise it may have had an effect on internet connection.

How to check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones / Tablets:
Dial *#06#. → If an EID number appears, your device is eSIM-compatible.
Windows 10 / 11:
Press Windows+I. Go to “Network & Internet” → If you see "Cellular", your PC is eSIM-compatible.
How to check carrier unlocking
iPhone / iPad:
Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll to Carrier Lock. → If you see “No SIM restrictions”, your device is unlocked.
Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Disable Automatic network selection. → If multiple networks appear, your device is unlocked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
