You can easily share your Ubigi cellular data connection from your Android device with another device by following these steps:
Ensure your Android device is connected to Ubigi
Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > Mobile data and make sure your Ubigi eSIM profile is active and selected for mobile data.
Enable Mobile Hotspot on your Android device
Navigate to Settings > Connections > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering > Mobile Hotspot.
Tap the slider to turn it on.
A Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password will appear—note these, as you’ll need them to connect your other device.
Connect the other device
On the device you want to share connectivity with, turn on Wi-Fi, select your Android device’s hotspot name, and enter the password displayed on your Android device.
You’re all set!
Your Ubigi connection is now shared, and multiple devices can connect simultaneously.
⚠️ If the Mobile Hotspot option is greyed out or unavailable:
You may need to set up the APN first.
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names (APN) and follow the instructions in the “How to set the APN for Ubigi eSIM” section.
After registering the APN, return to Settings > Connections > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering > Mobile Hotspot and check if it’s now active:
If active: follow the steps above to enable tethering.
If still inactive: double-check that the APN is correctly entered. If the issue persists, contact Ubigi Customer Service for assistance.
By following these steps, you can seamlessly share your Ubigi connectivity across multiple devices without any additional apps.
If difficulties persist, do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service for more help.
