I paid for a Ubigi data plan but it does not appear in my account, what should I do?
When you purchase a data plan, you automatically receive a confirmation email (on the email address mentioned on your Ubigi account) when the payment is accepted.
NB: The payment ticket will be emailed to you at the time of purchase from email address noreply@ubigi.com. If you cannot find the email, it may have been sorted to the junk email folder, so please check it.
If you did receive this payment confirmation email but the recharge still does not appear on your account after 10min, please contact the customer service by filling in the form here and join the payment confirmation email you received.

Travelling to multiple countries
When I travel from one country to another in Europe, I always needed to restart my phone to connect to the network.
Other than that, the connection is stable and the app is easy to use.

Good network connection in Kyoto, some network interruption in Tokyo
Service in Kyoto was very good. However, in some area of Asakusa in Tokyo, I was not able to connect to network. It took some back and forth (e.g. switching of network type from 5G to LTE) to get mobile data connection back.

Good reliable eSIM
I almost always had connectivity and appreciated the unlimited data that the ubigi eSIM provided. I recommend this to foreign travelers to Japan. It makes using apps like Citymapper easy and saves a lot of time.

It is ok
Easy to use app, good prices, works in Japan. Connection quality is questionable - enought to navigate maps and read emails, but calling, media and real-time communication sometimes annoyingly slow.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:
Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!
Laptops (Windows 10/11):
Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!
Check Carrier Unlock
On iOS:
Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!
On Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
