My eSIM Ubigi profile is installed and active on my iPhone/iPad, the network is displayed but I don’t have access to the Internet, what should I do?
Important: When you have multiple SIM cards/eSIMs (“plans”) on your iPhone/iPad, it is not possible to activate cellular data on two plans at the same time. You can only apply it to one of them.
You need to verify that Cellular Data is applied to the Ubigi eSIM profile for you to access the Internet. To do that, go to:
– Settings:
– Then, select Mobile Data:
– Then, select Mobile data again:
– Finally enter Cellular Data and select “secondary”:
Your iPhone/iPad will now use the cellular data connection from your Ubigi eSIM profile and you will be able to access the Internet with it.

Travelling to multiple countries
When I travel from one country to another in Europe, I always needed to restart my phone to connect to the network.
Other than that, the connection is stable and the app is easy to use.

Good network connection in Kyoto, some network interruption in Tokyo
Service in Kyoto was very good. However, in some area of Asakusa in Tokyo, I was not able to connect to network. It took some back and forth (e.g. switching of network type from 5G to LTE) to get mobile data connection back.

How to check if a device is ready for eSIM?
Check eSIM compatibility
Smartphones & Cellular Tablets:
Dial (*#06#). If an EID number shows, your device supports eSIM!
Laptops (Windows 10/11):
Open your flyout (bottom-right corner). If Cellular settings are visible, your laptop supports eSIM!
Check Carrier Unlock
On iOS:
Go to Settings > General > About, scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked!
On Android:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, turn off Auto network selection. If you see multiple available networks, your device is unlocked! If only one appears, or you get an error, it may be locked.
You already have an eSIM in your cart.
Each order can only include one eSIM data plan.
If you choose to add a new one, the current plan will be removed. What would you like to do?
