If you have purchased a pre-loaded eSIM profile on the website: we advise you to install it the day before or a few hours before your departure, while you still have a valid internet connection (e.g., Wi-Fi or connectivity from your local SIM card), in order to download your eSIM profile. This will also allow you to optimize the validity period of your data plan, since it starts when you scan the QR code received by email with your device.
If you already have a Ubigi eSIM profile installed on your device, in this case at your convenience you can :
– Recharge the day before or a few hours before your departure to ensure you have an internet connection available immediately upon arrival at your destination.
– Or recharge once you arrive at your destination using the connectivity of your Ubigi eSIM (even without an active data plan).
The validity of your data plan starts upon confirmation of your recharge.
If you are traveling by plane, we advise you to do the following two steps just before activating airplane mode on your device:
1/ activate your Ubigi eSIM profile (on iPhone – on Android)
2/ apply the data to your eSIM profile (on iPhone – on Android)
Finally, enable airplane mode.
Once you arrive at your destination, Ubigi connectivity will be available immediately as soon as you deactivate airplane mode. This will also prevent you from incurring roaming charges with any other physical SIM card you may have.
When crossing a border to enter your destination country, we also advise you to follow the two steps described above in order to access Ubigi connectivity easily and quickly.
